Criteria for Pershing Middle School 6th and 7th grade students to attend the February 28 dance:

Eligibility Criteria:

To attend the dance, 6th-8th grade students must meet the following requirements from February1 – February 28:

1. Behavior Expectations

✅ No more than 2 minor discipline referrals (e.g., classroom disruptions, dress code violations).
✅ No major discipline referrals (e.g., fighting, bullying, vandalism, or insubordination).

2. Attendance & Punctuality

✅ No more than 3 unexcused absences during the eligibility period.
✅ No more than 3 tardies to any class per week.

3. Academic Responsibility

✅ No failing grades (below 70%) in more than one class at the time of grade check on February 26.
✅ No missing major assignments or projects.

4. Citizenship & Participation

✅ Demonstrates positive engagement in class and school activities.
✅ No bus suspensions for transportation violations.

Additional Notes:

• Grade checks and behavior reviews will be conducted on February 26.

• Students who do not meet the criteria will not be eligible to attend.

• Appeals for exceptional circumstances must be submitted by February 23 to the grade-level administrator..

• No refunds will be given due to not meeting the above criteria
